Active Networks: An Overview

چکیده
Since 1994, active networks have become a popular research field. Under the motivation of technology “push” and user “pull”, we would like to purpose new active networks architecture that is secure, safe, efficient and flexible. Before we introduce new active networks architecture, the complete survey is an important milestone. In this report, we try to clearly describe the concept of active networks and the past projects done by others. We also propose an active networks model to present our understanding in this domain. In the end of this report, we discuss several issues we may try to solve.
